When we decided to open a pub, we weren’t sure if our previous skills would translate! Our background
is in event catering, primarily delivering first class hospitality to a discerning clientele at motor racing events.
Whilst we knew how to deliver and create gastronomic events in the middle of a field, creating a pub brand
was a huge leap of faith. But just six months after we opened, I am thrilled to say we won "Pub of the year"
award from our brewers Scottish and Newcastle, and runner up in the "Best contemporary Food" award -
At least we have something to aim for in 2007.

If you are looking for a friendly, fun local pub, with a great atmosphere, that does the simplest things
